Mary Ann Hunt Trotter, known to her friends as “Faye” or “Dink”, 74, of 608 Sawyersville Road, Asheboro, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Claudie Harrison, the Rev. Jody Harrison, and the Rev. Brian Cole officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born on April 21, 1933, in Randolph County, Mrs. Trotter was the daughter of the late Archie and Esther Carrick Hunt. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Ray Hunt, brother, Howard Hunt, sister-in-law, Caroline Hunt, and brother-in-law, Johnny Hoover. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, whom was loved by all and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, John Austin “Buck” Trotter, of the home; daughters, Brenda Cole and husband, Harold, Vonna “Red” Olson, and husband, Freddie, Donna Key and husband, James, all of Asheboro, Judy Cook and husband, Doug, of Denton, Janet Beasley and husband, Ronald, of Sophia; sons, Larry Trotter and wife, Jan, Ricky Trotter and wife, Carla, all of Asheboro; sister, Marie “Punk” Hoover, of Asheboro, Bonnie Keck and husband, Danny, of High Point, Pauline Walker and husband, Billy, of Archdale; sister-in-law, Dot Hunt, of Asheboro; grandchildren, Craig, Tonya, Brian, Sandra, Christy, Steven, Mitchell, Jamie, Kevin, Justin; step grandchildren, Matthew, Heather; great grandchildren, Kenzi, Kaden, Gauge, Gunnar, Taylor, Kaili, Spencer, Lance, Andrew, Owen, and Riley.

The family will receive friends at Ridge Funeral Home, 908 Albemarle Road, Asheboro, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2008, and other times at the home.
